On June 25, U.S. District Court Judge Ronnie L. White issued a procedural ruling in Constitution Party of Missouri v St. Louis County, Missouri, e.d., 4:15cv-207. The ruling denies the government’s motion to dismiss the case.
The lawsuit was filed earlier this year to challenge the county’s charter, which says, “Any vacancy in the County Council shall be filled at the next general election or special election called in accordance with statute. Nominations for election to fill a vacancy shall be made in accordance with statute by the committee men and women of each of the two parties casting the highest vote for governor in the last election whose townships lie in whole or in part within the council districts wherein the vacancy exists.” In other words, in special elections for County Council (which is elected on a partisan basis) the only candidates can be those nominated by the Democratic and Republican Parties.
The county tried to get the lawsuit dismissed on the grounds that the special election is over with and it is very unlikely that there will be another special election in which the Constitution Party wishes to run anyone. The judge said, “There is a reasonable probability that such an opportunity will present itself in the future.” The next stage of the lawsuit will be to decide if the county charter is unconstitutional.
One thing is for certain.
As “third parties” come and go year after year, they have a self-destruction mechanism that is like a poisonous pill which is already implanted in their voting system in every election they participate, promote and use in election cycle.
This causes them to be unable to work with independents, across partisan lines and these so-called leaders can’t even work within their own party.
In 2012 the Libertarian Party had 17+ candidates for President and the Green Party 5+ candidates but the mechanisms of winner-takes-all single-winner districts that most people understand creates a fear of allowing equal time for all candidates within their own party or across partisan lines.
Just as the so-called leaders of the Green Party did in 2012 and is doing now, the leaders of the Libertarian Party did in 2012 and are doing now, the poison pill has been swallowed and there is nothing anyone can do about this situation. There is no turning back for them now, but they can only go through the already determined motions.
Motions already determined by the very voting system they use and will use through this election cycle.
The “leaders” in these smaller splinter groups are already ill-informed about how to work together largely due to the censorious policies that they themselves use to smother free speech.
The USA and International Parliaments don’t have this problem.
Year after year, since 1995, the USA Parliament has been able to unite with diverse people, candidates of partisan and non-partisan campaigns, both major, minor and independents, in a United Coalition.
It’s the United Coalition’s ultra-conservative voting system that has allowed our campaigns for President to include 14 others from the Republican – Green Energy, Libertarians, Democratic, Independent, Communist and more.
We’re on a team.
This fact scares everyone in the quest for the power grab under standard divisive single-winner politics.
Because our team welcomes all these so-called leaders in the failed policies of American politics even when they can’t find energy to reply with a “hi”.
There is no compromise on our side. To work with the 100% there is only one way, and that is our system of pure proportional representation which invites the 100%.
There is only one way to correctly unite the 100%.
We’ve been doing it for 20 consecutive years and it works fine.
It’s called pure proportional representation (PR).
All is forgiven. Come back home to unity and teamwork.
Come to the USA Parliament and experience cooperation, teamwork, synchronization, inclusion, accountability and unity.
Sign up now to be a part of the national United Coalition because anything less is simply not good enough and has proven failure over and over again, decade after decade and century after century.
