The third Republican presidential debate will be in Boulder, Colorado, on October 28, Wednesday. The sponsor, CNBC, requires candidates to be at 3% in polls in order to get on the main state. A debate will be held earlier for candidates who are at 1% but under 3%. See this story.
Still a heck of a lot less than the 15% the CPD requires in the general election. Hopefully more voters will start questioning this difference and start pressuring the CPD to be more inclusive. I doubt even with their corporate backers that the CPD can ignore/defeat both the Green and Libertarian Party lawsuits and large-scale public criticism.
Why not just have all debates at 15 % and see what the candidates of all parties say. Things wouldn’t change with the CPD, but which candidates would complain?

According to that poll (which came out September 30), if the Republicans had a 15% rule for inclusion in the October 2015 debate, Donald Trump would be the only candidate on the stage.
