This article summarizes a recent interview by U.S. Senator Rand Paul on the Alan Colmes Show. The article seems to indicate that on the one hand, Senator Paul’s biggest political aim is to stop Donald Trump from being the Republican nominee, because Paul feels a Trump nomination would hurt the Republican Party. On the other hand, Paul says he will support Trump if Trump gets the nomination.
The unstated conclusion, if the article is accurate, is that Paul has more loyalty to the Republican Party than loyalty to any other social or political goal. Generally, reasonable people agree that loyalty to a particular party can’t be one’s ultimate end; the true end must logically involve policy. One wonders how much thought Paul put into his remarks.
The gerrymander oligarchs are playing their EVIL oligarch games — since SCOTUS has created a Prez empire / monarch — esp. since 1861, 1917 and esp. 1933.
P.R. and nonpartisan App.V.
Interesting. Ron Paul did an interview with Chuck Todd on yesterday’s “Meet The Press Daily” and he used the word libertarian quite a bit. I didn’t re-read the quotes closely, but it left me with the overall impression that Ron had very little loyalty to the Republican Party.
Here it is — he gripes about the GOP changing rules to block his delegates from being seated during the 2012 campaign. He says it would be impossible for him to support either Trump or Cruz, and then he talks about signing the Non-Aggression Principle. Gary Johnson also gets a quick mention from the host at the very end.

Thanks, Austin.
I remain a loyal disciple of Ron Paul, but his son, Rand Paul is a joke. It pains me to say that, but he is neither a defender of constitutional principles or a good politician. His one foot in the neo-con world, and one foot in the anti-war world is the worst possible choice. How about an End The Fed bill instead of a wimpy audit. He surrounds himself with shady characters who give him horrible advice. And now he says his highest political goal is to “Aid” the GOP. The only thing he should be doing WRT to the GOP is to aid in its burial.
Rand Paul – terminate your presidential campaign immediately, ask forgiveness from Kentucky voters, get yourself re-elected and spend 3 more terms as a Senator learning how evil DC is. Then maybe you will see that the “system” needs to be discarded and then built anew by real constitutionalists like Mike Lee and Justin Amash.
Don Willis I agree with you
Gave personal notice to NYS Bd of Elections yesterday while in Albany to the 2016 challenge to the Election Law barring registered voters from participating in 2016 primary election and who are concerned about CINC POTUS filed GOP candidates Cruz et al not being natural born US citizens. These litigating Nys natural born citizen party national committee members are not enrolled in a Nys recognized party and are enjoined from changing their party non-enrollment until after the 2016 general election.
See Rosario v Rockefeller 1973 SCOTUS controlling Opinion.
USCA Second Circuit Original proceeding for mandamus requesting certification of enrollment “lock-box” and shocking natural born citizen insettled law question being served next week on USCA2C and as judicial notice and supplement to all other USCA circuits as well as SCOTUS.

Justice Ginsburg:
My grandson was born in Paris of U.S. citizen parents. I had never considered him a naturalized citizen of the United States.
Justice Ginsburg again:
There is a debate over whether my grandson is a natural born citizen. I think he is.

The Pauls are bad for the Libertarian Party.
Have to agree with Don.
And Rand doesn’t stand a chance in the GOP primary now.
Anyone born by Caesarean section cannot be eligible for the Presidency. Those people are not “natural born,” whatever their parents’ citizenship or the place of their birth. The same goes for those conceived by sperm donors or in vitro fertilization as well as those born to surrogate mothers.
However, they are all eligible to kill Macbeth.
