The Independent Voters Network has this article by Richard Winger, detailing how California election laws, and election administrators, have made determined efforts to stamp out the word “Independent.” This is true for the voter registration form, for ballots, and even for the Statewide Voter Guide.

That is not the information I received. It was on October 11, 2014, that at a meeting of a political body
named the “Constitution Party of California” (which on April 8, 2016 had 340 electors), met in Fresno, CA and formed the “Independent Party” to take part of the designation of the “American Independent Party” name and form a new political body. That was to confuse voters. Mr. Charles M. Deemer (who was a National Committeeman and Treasurer of the Constitution Party of California) became its Chairman. The mother of Mr. Gary Odom, (who at the time of filing with the Secretary of State was an American Independent Party elector) was the Secretary-Treasurer. Gary Odom was a Chairman of the Constitution
Party of California. The office of “First Chairman” of the “Constitution Party of California” is held
by Dr. Don Grundmann.
This is not the first time Don Grundmann has been trying to confuse the electorate in California. A will back he was stating that he was the Chairman of the “REAL AMERICAN INDEPENDENT PARTY”. First the
try to add the word “Real” and then they try to delete the word “American”, within a cabal to confuse
the electorate.
You however are correct it would be interesting to no if William “Bill” Lussenheide will appeal the
judgement of May 4, 2016.
