New Hampshire Receives Three Presidential Petitions

August 10 is the New Hampshire deadline for independent candidate petitions, and petitions for the nominees of unqualified parties, to file signatures with the various towns. Only three presidential candidates submitted petitions: Rocky De La Fuente, Gary Johnson, and Jill Stein.

  1. You’re right Perry. Looking at this map from Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_third_party_and_independent_presidential_candidates,_2012), he’s missed at least Colorado, New Hampshire, the District of Columbia and Vermont, all of which were places where the Constitution Party was at least a write-in candidate. The only state so far that he’s qualified in this year the the party wasn’t qualified in last election is Oregon.

  2. NH & Vermont both claim all write-in votes are valid; so no paperwork to file for that. Whether or not the SOS actually tabulates the write-in votes is another question
