The ballot-qualified Independence Party of South Carolina has nominated Evan McMullin for President. This is the first instance at which a party that was already on the ballot before Evan McMullin announced, has nominated him. His campaign had said he hoped that several of these one-state parties might nominate him.
Until when can state parties nominate someone? I assume it varies by state but I doubt that the deadline hasn’t passed or isn’t about to pass in a vast majority of states.
Actually I assumed it already passed in most states since absentee ballots have to be printed and mailed out to overseas citizens within the next few weeks.
