The California Secretary of State’s web page has this list of presidential elector candidates for each of the six ballot-qualified parties. Write-in candidates for president also need to submit a list of presidential elector candidates, but the deadline for that is not until October 25.
Has anybody asked Alex Padilla if he knows he’s totally botched this?
Silly question: Some electors have non-California addresses listed, e.g. Virgil Goode for the AIP slate for Trump-Pence. Can someone be an Elector for a state, but not a resident?
Brad, they can in California.
Is it possible for an elector candidate to withdraw?
Padilla screwed it up on purpose.
I don’t know if presidential elector candidates may withdraw. I think the Calif. Secretary of State will soon be asked for a ruling on that.
