New Utah Presidential Poll Shows Donald Trump Leading, with McMullin in Third Place — 7 Comments
How many people did they poll.
Oy 402 were polled. How about the people they don’t poll.
This is still Utah, where close to half the state is Mormon, and McMullin himself is a Mormon. I suspect this poll’s underestimating his support, especially given the small sample size.
Seems likely Johnson tops 10% somewhere (Alaska?) and McMullin is on track to easily top 10% in Utah… so it’ll be the first time since 1980 that 4 candidates have had states where they finished in double-digits.
I guess there’s also a chance Jill Stein tops 10% in a state like Vermont?
Off the top of my head, I can’t think of another modern election in which 5 candidates did it.

I think he’ll get about 20% and come in third.
Another poll just came out today with McMullin at 28% and in second place. Here’s Real Clear Politics’ Utah Poll tracker: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/ut/utah_trump_vs_clinton_vs_johnson_vs_stein_vs_mcmullin-6154.html
It would be fun if he came in second.
