The Rhode Island Secretary of State’s office says that as of November 7, the number of registered voters in each party is: Democratic 319,729; Repubican 92,709; Moderate 2,817; independent and miscellaneous 367,628. These numbers are not on any state web page yet. The percentages are: Democratic 40.84%; Republican 11.84%; Moderate .36%; independent and miscellaneous 46.96%.

In February 2016 the percentages were: Democratic 39.05%; Republican 10.30%; Moderate .34%; independent and miscellaneous 50.32%.
