Hillary Clinton Now has More than Two Million Margin Over Donald Trump — 27 Comments

  1. “Of the 49 states and the District of Columbia that have an election infrastructure that actually works well, Donald Trump has a margin of 1.75 million over Hillary Clinton.”

    Just as relevant.

  2. I looked at the spreadsheet. The thing that pops out is that California is 6.3 points more Democratic in 2016 than 2012. This is the biggest reason she’s so far ahead in the popular vote. I also noticed that Texas was also 6.7 points more Democratic, though Trump still carried it. Georgia and Arizona were also more Democratic, but not by enough. It seems that Clinton’s campaign had some basis for believing that Arizona and Georgia were in play, though they obviously made a mistake by ignoring Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

  3. It appears to me that the only reform that will satisfy most people is for California to secede from the US.

  4. Walt Ziobro… which they can’t do, according to previous supreme court rulings. The southern secession during the civil war wasn’t an actual secession according to the supreme court. It was just a rebellion of those states, and thus theywere never actually not states. The ruling specifically stated that once a state, always a state. Nor do they have the economy to do that, nor would most people actually want to…

Most people apparently aren’t realizing the issues surrounding this thought process either… like they’d need a passport to go anywhere outside of California. Most employers would leave California because it wouldn’t be economically viable for them, as they’d need to pay customs charges and international shipping fees to get products into the United States… They’d be cutting off 95% of their customer base. California would quickly look like Puerto Rico.

  5. I did not vote for Donald Trump, and I am not on the Donald Trump bandwagon, but even so, it shows you just how far gone this country is somebody as blatantly corrupt and as hostile to liberty as Hillary Clinton is would win the popular vote.

Donald Trump may (and probably will) turn out to be a disappointment to those who want more liberty, but at least Trump had not held office before and does not have as blatantly as horrible a record as Hillary Clinton has. Yeah, I know that Trump has some bad things on his record, but Hillary Clinton’s record of bad is just off the charts (so to speak).

Sure, Donald Trump voters may be delusional, but there is something seriously wrong with people who voted for Hillary Clinton.

  6. Just out of curiosity, how is she hostile to liberty? Fairly socially liberal from my point of view. Liberty isn’t solely an economic, fiscal, or foreign policy issue. Does she support cronyism, sure… is she hawkish on foreign policy, sure…. is she hostile to social liberty? Hardly.

Do I disagree with her on a lot of stuff (mostly foreign policy – specifically Russia – and economics) sure… but Trump is certainly just as disagreeable (on foreign policy – specifically the middle-east – and social issues).

  7. At one point, didn’t either Vermont or Maine want to secede and join Canada? And Texas? And Alaska? If California or the smaller states cannot stand alone, I don’t believe Texas or Alaska can either. They’d also have to pay for their own defense.

  8. I am supporting the protesters and rioters.I want to see high unemployment to in the next 4 to 6 months.A country split.I support the wealthy anyways.1929 all over again

  9. “Just out of curiosity, how is she hostile to liberty?”

The fact that anyone would ask this question proves my point as to how far gone a lot of people in this country are.

This is the internet. Do some searching. It should not be hard to find the information that you need to verify that my claim is true.

  10. Andy… I’ve done plenty of research her, from unbiased non-far right-wing sources (aka nothing Fox, Breitbart, Washington Times or Alex Jones) and I’ve found nothing other than what I’ve already mentioned. You just seem to biased and unwilling to accept that a Democrat may be a good thing under certain circumstances every now and then. Being biased simply proves lack of intelligence… which always leads to a bitter unwillingness to consider any idea outside of yourself. This leads to your frequent portrayal of your “my way or the hgiway” mentality. Until you learn to understand, listen to, and debate people on actual ideas instead of outright rejecting people due to political affiliation you will always have a simple, small, weak-willed mind that will always lead you astray.

I by far have a more firm grasp on what the hell is actually going then you ever will… And I most certainly have a higher IQ than you. So before you think using ad homs makes you seem intelligent, maybe you need to find out who the fuck you’re talking to.

  11. Collapse the stock market and make me happy.W watch Donald Trump resign or get impeached.Where is Lieutenant colonel James Bo Gritz when we need him.

  12. Andy obviously has not done enough research on just how bad Trump’s record and positions really are.

    OBTW…

Computer scientists urge Clinton campaign to challenge election results

CNN)Hillary Clinton’s campaign is being urged by a number of top computer scientists to call for a recount of vote totals in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, according to a source with knowledge of the request.

The computer scientists believe they have found evidence that vote totals in the three states could have been manipulated or hacked and presented their findings to top Clinton aides on a call last Thursday.
The scientists, among them J. Alex Halderman, the director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society, told the Clinton campaign they believe there is a questionable trend of Clinton performing worse in counties that relied on electronic voting machines compared to paper ballots and optical scanners, according to the source.

And, Further down in the story:

Additionally, at least three electors have pledged to not vote for Trump and to seek a “reasonable Republican alternative for president through Electoral College,” according to a statement Wednesday from a group called the Hamilton Electors, which represents them.

  13. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/green-party-candidate-calls-recount-key-swing-states-n687801

Green Party nominee Jill Stein put out a fundraising appeal in order to launch a recount of the vote in three key swing states that went to Donald Trump — Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — despite her party having won only 1 percent of the vote.

The Green Party did not single out any specific evidence of fraud, nor does it need proof of irregularities to call for a recount. Instead, Stein said, “After a divisive and painful presidential race, reported hacks into voter and party databases and individual email accounts are causing many Americans to wonder if our election results are reliable. These concerns need to be investigated before the 2016 presidential election is certified. We deserve elections we can trust.”

A small but vocal group of scientists and activists have emerged in recent days advocating for a recount on the basis of Trump’s wholly unexpected win and concerns about Russian involvement in the election. They note that only a small minority of public polls predicted Trump’s success, and though public polls have been wrong before the magnitude of their error this cycle was unprecedented.

They also point to evidence Russian hackers infiltrated the Democratic National Committee and potentially a top adviser to Hillary Clinton’s campaign as evidence of both ability and willingness. Hackers compromised voter records in Illinois and attempted to breach voting systems in a handful of other states prior to the election.

    ….

Clinton’s campaign officials have not commented on Stein’s efforts, which hinge on the Green Party’s ability to pay for a recount.

Stein tells supporters she needs to raise “over $2 million by this Friday, 4 p.m. central” in order to put her plan to action. The deadline to file for a recount in Wisconsin is Friday, while the deadlines for Pennsylvania and Michigan are next week. Recounts are costly to conduct, and each state requires various fees depending on the size of the vote lead and how expansive the recount is.

  14. One more ANTI-Democracy minority rule Prez/VP.

History note — the 1777 Articles of Confederation required ALL of the States to agree regarding amendments to it.

Obvious result — fatal. The 1787 gangsters ignored such requirement — see Art. VII of the 1787 Const

    — RI and NC were the last survivors of the 1777 AC [being deemed foreign nations by the other 11 States) before they caved in and also ratified the 1787 Const.

Special case for VT — rebelled against NY and was an independent regime in 1777-1791 before becoming State 14 in 1791,

Since when is any ratification NOT subject to REPEAL ???

See all sorts of ratified treaties being violated and subverted — i.e. see the Hague Treaty about Declarations of War being violated many many times — esp. on 7 Dec 1941 by the killers / enslavers in the Japanese Empire.

THUS — The Donkeys or Elephants or both should convene a Third Continental Congress and proceed — to *peacefully* get the Hell away from each other — to have Communist Donkey regimes and Fascist Elephant regimes — ignoring each other.

See also the WV regime in 1863 — created by Union Army FORCE — by splitting VA during the Civil WAR.

See also the last paragraph of the DOI and the 1783 USA-Brit Peace Treaty.

What happened to the 1917-1991 USSR regime of tyrants ???

  15. Carrick, this isn’t Fox or MSNBC. This is Ballot Access News. Many of Richard Winger’s posts on here this very website you’re commenting on are solid proof that BOTH ruling parties are corrupt, undemocratic, and authoritarian. If HRC was friendly towards civil liberties and rights, she would have been demanding the inclusion of Gary Johnson and Jill Stein in our country’s national debates on the basis of their ballot access. She would be against the harsh ballot access laws in many states. She would have asked that the major news media organizations fairly treated the national/major third party candidates. But she either didn’t do any of that, or even worse, had her campaign take part in the de-legitimization of Gary and Jill’s campaigns and the further weakening of democratic elections and the freedoms of speech and association via the “spoiler theory”.

Let’s go over this again: BOTH ruling parties as a whole are corrupt, undemocratic, and authoritarian. QED.

  16. We need to get rid of the electoral college one person one vote shouldn’t matter what state you live in.
I will have you know that this recount is being initiated by the Jill Stein campaign, not the Green Party.Seems to be a split on the issue.Personally as GP supporter I think they should call for a recount , abolishing the electoral college and and an end to the two party system. But raising and spending money on this, no. If the Democrats don’t do it; they don’t do it. Jill Stein and the Green party need to be doing spending time raising and spending money on other issues.

  17. @AMcCarrick:

It seems to me that if a state actually petitioned Congress to secede, and Congress approved it, that state could become independent. The big mistake that the Confederates made was that they acted unilaterally, and didn’t negotiate their separation from the US.

Given the current political climate in Congress, it wouldn’t surprised me if California voted to secede, Congress would permit it.

That’s not to say, as you pointed out, there aren’t a lot of issues and consequences with secession. But, given the huge population of undocumented aliens in California, Californians may see a net benefit in normalizing that population through secession.

  18. AMc — the Confeds early on sent some folks to DC and tried to negotiate.

Lincoln sent them back home (i.e. failed to arrest them and put them in Jail for rebellion)

Result — about 750,000 DEAD on both sides in the War of the Rebellion [Union version] aka Civil WAR I (to most historians

    — however even the SCOTUS hacks used the *civil war* stuff in some of their later opinions (after about 1880).

The USA has been in a state of siege since the major Union Army defeat at the First Battle of Bull Run in July 1861 — i.e. TOTAL panic by the gerrymander oligarchs in the Congress in July-Aug 1861 — all sorts of anti-rebellion laws.

Folks can look at the Donkey and Elephant platforms in 2016 — to see how both gangs are super-extremist STATISTS — with their control freak agendas to CONTROL everybody and everything 24/7.

  19. The only liberty I want is changes in Labor laws.36 hour work weeks.More privileges foe workers.Eliminiation of overtime and third shift jobs.
