The electoral college is meeting on Monday, December 19, at state capitols all around the nation. Each state sets its own time for that.
One Democratic presidential elector in Maine, David Bright, voted for Bernie Sanders instead of Hillary Clinton. Thanks to several people for that news.
The Colorado electors meet at noon, Colorado time.
It has just been reported that an elector from Minnesota did not vote for Clinton, but the report did not say for whom.
A more recent report clarifies that the faithless elector from Minnesota resigned and was replaced.
AJC.com is reporting that Maine cast 3 votes for Clinton, and 1 for Trump. No mention of any votes for Bernie.
WPIX reports: A Democratic Maine elector’s faithless vote for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders was ruled improper. He has switched his vote to Clinton.
David Bright wrote on his Facebook page earlier today that he planned not to vote for Clinton because he did not believe a vote for her would make a difference.
“I cast my Electoral College vote for Bernie Sanders today to let those new voters who were inspired by him know that some of us did hear them, did listen to them, do respect them and understand their disappointment,” Bright wrote. “I want them to know that not only can they come back to the process, but that they will be welcomed back; that there is room in the Democratic Party for their values.”

AJC.com is now reporting that one Maine elector who wanted to vote for Sanders had his vote ruled to be “improper” and he was compelled to switch to Clinton. So much for Hamilton electors.
