  1. Which legislators in Illinois? I’ve been talking with my district’s legislator (Terri Bryant, 115th) about Ranked Choice Voting and other such improvements, so I’m curious as to whether she’s one of the legislators you speak of.

  2. yes, let us know the details when you can. That way such information can be used to call attention in support of better ballot access laws.

  3. There are several Illinois legislators who appear willing to introduce ballot access improvement bills, but the one who seems to have given a commitment is Senator Andy Manar, a Democrat from the 48th district in southwestern Illinois.

  4. Thanks for the info Richard. I’m surprised that a Democrat is leading the charge for ballot access improvement here in Illinois; I thought Don Madigan would have silenced such dissent. Andy Manar is a brave man, and I salute him.

  5. I have asked several Alaskan legislators to sponsor/co-sponsor the following changes to AK Election Law regarding Political Parties. Specifically AS Sec. 15.80.010 (25)(A)(B)(C). The requested changes for a group to become a recognized political party are; 1% of any statewide office, or 500 registered voters.
