On January 24, the Florida House unanimously passed CS/HM 147, expressing support for statehood for Puerto Rico. It now goes to the State Senate. The resolution doesn’t use the word “statehood” but it seems capable of no other interpretation.

How about buy the Bahamas regime and merge it with Puerto Rico to make the commies in Cuba even more paranoid ???
Or Jamaica, mon!
I think the lack of reference to statehood was deliberate, because instead this is talking about incorporated vs. unincorporated territories. Puerto Rico is still technically an “unincorporated” territory, and this resolution appears to be asking Congress to make it an “incorporated” territory, not a state.

The mere details of constitutional LAW are way beyond the low, low, low IQ HACKS in New Age gerrymander State legislatures — which is why the States are almost DEAD — almost now mere pass thru things for Fed Aid — welfare, etc. into local govts., etc.
