The Albuquerque Journal has this op-ed by JoHanna Cox, Republican candidate for New Mexico Secretary of State. The piece criticizes the incumbent Secretary of State, a Democrat, for saying she intends to restore the straight-ticket device even though there is no statutory authorization for it. It doesn’t mention that Toulouse Oliver is a candidate for election. She is proposing a change that may be personally useful for her own election. She is self-dealing.
