Some Maine State Senators Ask State Supreme Court to Block Ranked-Choice Voting in Upcoming June Primary — 7 Comments

  1. The biggest civic group may want a one party system in Maine under ranked voting but 2nd a 3rd smaller groups would be locked out of contention just like in SF and Oakland California where they live under a one party system and they have supported that for decades.

The United Coalition of Candidates (UCC) brings “USA Day” on April 21st, where our team seeks to support our opposite gender #1 for teamwork with in politics, not possible in single-winner districts.

  2. My guess is that the kangaroo court will do what TPTB want. If for no other reason than it pisses off the establishment, Rank Choice Voting should be adopted across the country!

  3. It appears that the initial initiative did not repeal a provision that says that primaries are determined by plurality.

Maine should implement RCV for Top 2 primaries.

  4. How many MORON amateurs in the States who are brain dead ignorant about Constitutional LAW ???

Such MORONS are like target practice ducks for the gangster gerrymander minority rule oligarchs.

PR and AppV — pending Condorcet.

  5. Basic PR (since 1840s – repeat 1840s) —

Party Members = Total Members x Party Votes / Total Votes

    based on

    PV/TV = PM/TM

    More/Less accurate with Larger/Smaller TM.

Total accurate — PM Voting Power = Party Votes

Move small party fractions (NOT getting members) to larger PM-PV groups.
