Elephants dead statewide in IL as in CA, MA, etc. ???
Btw, the Conservative Party was created for McCann’s run. Additionally, they/he did not have to file a full slate of candidates thanks to a relatively recent Libertarian Party of Illinois lawsuit. The LPIL did file a full slate.
Illinois’ sore loser law prohibits primary losers from running as a candidate in another established party or as an independent, but not as a new party candidate. Possibly because it relied on the old full slate requirement to prevent what McCann did. McCann’s campaign is financed by the Local 150 IUOE, which endorsed Pritzker. http://local150.org/conservative-sam-mccann-to-challenge-gov-rauner-in-november-election/
