  1. A typical ballots with have 7 or 8 candidates. In Quebec, candidates qualify as individuals by filing a petition with 100 signatures in their electoral division. In 2014, the four largest parties received 97.5% of the vote.

    In 2018, only four parties have candidates in all 125 electoral divisions. The Conservative and Green parties have candidates in most divisions. The NPDQ, which is not formally affiliated with the NDP has candidates in about half the divisions.
