California Republican Party Convention Passes Alternate Delegate Selection Plan

The California Republican Party held a state convention September 6-8. It passed a rules change, letting the party hold a special state convention after the March 2020 to choose delegates to the national convention, in case the party doesn’t win its pending lawsuits against the law that will bar President Trump from the presidential primary.
