The Orange County Register has this editorial in opposition to SB 696, which forces the American Independent Party to change its name by October 29, or be removed from the ballot.

In Alpine County, CA the County ROV followed the “arbitrary and captions and an abuse of decision” advisory of the CA Secretary of State in a CC/ROV dated August 16, 2019, until she was informed by the ROV of Inyo County that the CA SOS was legally wrong. This caused a change in the posting of the memorandum of
    the March 3, 2020 election in Alpine County.
