According to this story, St. Pete Polls conducted a poll for the initiative that would impose a top-two system in Florida for state and local partisan office. The polls shows that the measure would be defeated.
The measure is not yet on the ballot but the petition drive is almost finished.
I hope Florida voters shoot this issue down in flames.

Can anyone explain why there has been such a huge shift in public opinion about this initiative in only four months? Back in June of 2019, around 59% of people polled were in favor of it, but by October only about 48% say they would vote for it.

The wording of the question on the first poll was this: “Would you support a state Constitutional Amendment that would open political party primary elections to any registered voter no matter their party affiliation?”
The wording of the question on the second poll was: “Would you support the proposed Top-Two Open Primaries state Constitutional Amendment that would allow all voters of any party registration to vote in open primaries, and have primary elections changed to be all candidates of all parties together on the ballot, and the move only the top two candidates on to the general election, even if they are from the same party?”
Knowing more detail about how Top-Two works reduces support for it. In particular, the increased length of the question and the admission that it can result in two candidates from the same party advancing are probably the biggest factors in the drop in support.
