Connecticut Secretary of State Says William Weld and Rocky De La Fuente Are Discussed in News Media, So They Will Appear on the Republican Presidential Primary Ballot

Connecticut election law, like the laws of several dozen other states, says the state will print presidential candidates on presidential primary ballots if they are discussed in the news media. The Connecticut Secretary of State has determined that William Weld and Rocky De La Fuente are discussed in the news media, so they will be on the Connecticut Republican presidential primary ballot, along with President Donald Trump.

Connecticut is the first state with a “media” law that has put De La Fuente on the ballot. Thanks to Darcy Richardson for this news.

  1. Notice how much earlier it is to get on the ballot for President than for any other office. If someone decides that you are a candidate, you’re on. Why can’t it be that way for all offices?

  2. ALL the *media* stuff = VOID for vagueness.

Nom pets only – minimal REAL Elector support.

  3. IMO, candidates for all offices ought to be able to get on any ballot with either signatures or filing fees, or a mix of both, or simple designation by a recognized party or filing official.

  4. What percent of 2020 New Age folks pay ANY attention to physical media — newspapers / magazines / books ???

ie – Twitter/ Facebook pop *culture* politics MORONS or what ???
