The case is assigned to U.S. District Court Judge Amy Totenberg, an Obama appointee.

  1. Since when is the cost of a US Postal Snail first class stamp a *tax* ???

Same for any costs in getting to any in person polling place ???

  2. @DR,

Ever hear of the stamp tax?

Central Washington University is in Ellensburg, over the Cascades from Seattle. Students who had registered on campus could drop their ballot in a collection box. Students registered elsewhere had to mail their ballot to their home counties.

None had a postage stamp, nor knew where they could acquire one. Some did know what a postage stamp was. A student organization got a ruling that they could hand out stamps, and post office established a temporary mail collection box on campus during the election period.

  3. How about ANY tax on the pen to mark the ballot ???

    — or the taxes on ALL the goods and services to keep the voter alive to be able to vote

    — esp from age zero to 18 years olde ???

How soon before the SCOTUS gang of 9 get this case ???
