On July 15, Quinnipiac University Polls released a presidential election poll. Respondents were only asked if they would vote for President Trump or Joe Biden, but 3% volunteered that they would vote for someone else, and 2% volunteered that they would not vote for anyone. Demographics on who was polled are not given. Other polls I have seen have Trump within a few points. and even ahead in self identified independents.

I believe many voters won’t tell pollsters (strangers) they support President Donald J. Trump because they’re afraid of possible violence against them.
