The illinois State Board of Elections website early this morning listed Don Blankenship of the Constitution Party as a presidential candidate. Then his name was deleted. But, now (as of Tuesday evening, July 21) it is back again. Thanks to the commenters who pointed this out.
Any idea how many signatures were submitted for Blankenship.
This might be the page to watch – Objections filed: https://www.elections.il.gov/ElectionOperations/ObjectionsFiled.aspx?MID=ar5HqNOFYOs%3d&T=637309720899630440
Great.
I guess he’ll have to hope for no objections. I highly doubt his numbers are challenge proof. Thanks for the link Jeff Becker.
Since they validated Kanye’s so quickly, but not Don’s, I think the result is a foregone conclusion here.
I don’t think they validated Kanye’s. At best, they counted how many of the theoretical signature lines actually contained signatures, or anything else. News stories frequently get details wrong so it helps to put together information sources and read between the lines.
