Florida’s Amendment Three, an initiative to impose a top-two system for state office, failed to pass. It needed 60% and got 56.98%. See the Secretary of State’s election results website here.

GOOD. Top Two is a virus that needs to be prevented from spreading. We need more democratic electoral system such as Ranked Choice and Proportional Representation.
Good news. I would have preferred it get less than 50% of the vote, but I’ll take what we can get. Sadly, ranked choice voting seems like it won’t pass in Massachusetts. 🙁
Hooray!
Glad to hear
More states need a 60% threshold to change their constitutions.
The defeat of Top Two Tyranny in Florida is some of the best news to come out of this election.
