Legal Marijuana Now Party Polls over 5% for U.S. Senate in Minnesota, So Will be Ballot-Qualified in 2022 and 2024

Here is a link to the U.S. Senate election returns for Minnesota. The Legal Marijuana Now Party polled 5.91%. Under the law, that means it is not only ballot-qualified in 2022, but in 2024 as well. In Minnesota, when a party polls 5%, it retains its qualified status for the next two elections.

The Grassroots – Legalize Cannabis Party also ran for U.S. Senate in Minnesota this year, and it polled 1.78%. But because it got over 5% for a statewide race in 2018, it will still be on the 2022 ballot. Thanks to Dave Cummings for this news.

  1. So what is the exact difference between both parties (as in why do they both exist separately)? I know that Grassroots has been around for a long time.

  2. Biden – a HIGH priority to repeal USA anti-MJ law ASAP —

to wipe out reason for pro-MJ parties ???

BIDEN – LONG list of leftwing special interest gangs demanding whatever.

  3. An illustration outlining the differences between the United States Legal Marijuana Now Party and the Minnesota Grassroots Party is at this link:

Truth is, the Minnesota Grassroots Party merged with the Legal Marijuana Now Party in 2016:

In 2018, Oliver Steinberg split the party back into two parties so that he could run a vanity campaign in 2020.

Oliver Steinberg split the party into two, in 2018, and then he ran a vanity campaign for US Senator in 2020.

  5. Wasn’t Oliver Steinberg the vice presidential running mate for Rocky De La Fuente in 2016, or am I confusing him with somebody with a similar name?

  6. Michael Steinberg of Florida, likely no relation, was Rocky’s 2016 running mate.

  7. Lots of ego freaks in many small parties —

I am chair of the ABCXYZ Party — pay attention to me and the party.

    History – minor footnotes—if any.

  8. There is actually some significant difference between the 2 Parties. The Grassroots party is basically a tag-a-long Party for the Democrats. In BOTH 2018 and 2020 the candidates for the Grassroots Party instructed their supporters to vote for the Democrat Party before the election. That is NOT an Independent political Party.
