Texas has already canvassed most of the write-in votes for presidential declared write-in candidates. See the state’s election returns here.
Texas write-ins for president, for the declared candidates, are generally bigger than such write-ins in other states. That is because the names of the write-in declared candidates are conspicuous at the polling places. Brian Carroll of the American Solidarity Party already has over 1,200.
Those are unofficial returns, and several large counties such as Harris, Dallas, El Paso, and Travis have not reported on the state web site.
The Harris County web site has only a few write-ins and doesn’t even list Carroll. Dallas County reports don’t include the write-in candidates. Travis County only includes the aggregate write-ins.
Counties are required to report results to the SOS as they count, but these are quite unofficial. Write-in require special processing since they have to check the names. It might be during the canvass that this is done.
The county canvass is on November 17.
Don Blankenship oddly doesn’t have any write-in votes there, it seems.
He wasn’t a write-in option in TX, you fucking idiot.
@CQ,
He did not file. There is no fee or petition for presidential write-in candidates, but 38 elector candidates are required.
LOL!
Why do you have a hand avatar? Is it because of your obsession with masturbation?
Considering the increased support in the ASP, I’m wondering if it will kick out the Constitution Party and make a place in the top 3 of larger minor parties.
The strange person named Don Blankenbooney didn’t bother to file for write-in status in half the states – including Texas: https://www.constitutionparty.com/elections/ballot-access/
@Jim – Just read your comment. Yeah, now it makes sense. Texas CP disaffiliated so Blankenbooney could not wrangle up 38 supporters there.
Fact Checker – whatever charm school you went to, you should ask for refund. It clearly did not take.
