In September 2020, the Legal Marijuana Now Party submitted a petition in Nebraska to become a qualified party. The state still hasn’t finished checking the signatures. Assuming the party has enough valid signatures, it will be added as a choice on the voter registration forms. Currently the only qualified parties in Nebraska are Republican, Democratic, and Libertarian. No one can register into a party in Nebraska that has never been a qualified party.
When did they turn in these signatures?
mid-September 2020
INDIVIDUAL persons are nominated and elected — NOT any political parties.
So Richard,
Is there a time limit on how long ago a party was
qualified for the ballot in Nebraska for it to be
still listed on the voter registration forms?
They should just vote Libertarian
They should get off dope and vote GOP.
No ballot censorship to see here. Move along and have a nice day . . . suckers.
It sends the wrong message to kids to allow a party like that to exist.
Well, since there’s nothing wrong with smoking weed if that’s something that you want to do, I don’t see how a party based around that message would somehow be harmful to kids, especially in comparison to the Democratic and Republican Party’s which could send the message that it’s good to restrict ballot access and curb freedom.
There is a lot wrong with smoking weed. It turns your brain to mush. That’s why I never have touched it.
