The LA Progressive, an one-line news source, has this article by Michael Feinstein, about HR One, the Democratic election law bill in Congress. Feinstein criticizes the measure for making it five times more difficult for presidential candidates to qualify for primary season matching funds.
The Democrats are trying to contract the field of potential candidates in their primaries, presumably to give voters a clearer choice among their elite-preferred nominees.
Not just the primaries Walter, but the general election too.
@ JH
Yes, that too. But, first, they want to use matching funds to manage their own primaries.
The key is getting other Democrats to raise objections.
