Humetewa… said that a candidate’s failure to get elected does not injure those who voted for that person.
So, whether you are a Democrat, Republican, or whatever, just because you voted for a loser does not mean that you have been harmed.
Stop printing the names of any candidates or parties on the ballots. It is inherently biased free advertising. Instead adopt the format of the Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot which is legal in all elections – but only if you are voting from outside the United States. Make that ballot format uniform for all voters foreign or domestic residents.
Print a ballot for each party with a write-in space for each office. A voter would take all into a voting booth, mark one and discard the others.
Political parties would pay for the ballots, and could choose which precincts to pay for and have their ballots distributed in.
