Hawaii Ballot Access Bill Advances

On February 22, the Hawaii Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously passed SB 2046. The bill slightly eases petitioning. Current law expects the signers of the petition to include their entire birthday, but the bill deletes the need to show the year of birth.

  1. Do Hawaii petitions still ask for Social Security Numbers, or the last 4 digits of them? I seem to recall hearing they did, but it may have been option. Even if it was optional it is not good to have that on a petition.
