On August 29, in an administrative proceding, Terpsichore Maras was removed from the Ohio ballot as an independent candidate for Secretary of State. See this story. She had been the only statewide independent or minor party candidate on the Ohio November ballot this year.
BAN had previously believed that California and Kentucky were the only states (that have statewide races in 2022) who would have a Republican-Democratic monopoly on the ballot for all statewide races. But now it seems that Ohio will also be one of those states. Thanks to Kevin Hayes for the link.
TOTAL failure to use 1954 Brown v Bd of Ed in ballot access cases.
EQUAL in 14-1 Amdt EPC.
“Maras questions the legitimacy of the 2020 election and has promoted the QAnon conspiracy theory on her podcast, ‘Tore Says.’ Her platform for secretary of state includes scrapping all voting machines and returning to exclusively paper ballots, according to her website.”
She sounds crazy… wait a minute, I might agree with her about the paper ballot idea. We use them in the state I live in (with optical scanners). She sounds partially reasonable. See this is why shitty news writers are shitty. She even has other policy positions that I discovered in less than 5 minutes, that the article writer failed to discover.
