This story about the Georgia Libertarian Party statewide nominees says the Libertarian candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Ryan Graham, is polling 7.6% in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Poll. Both major parties have nominees in all the Georgia statewide office elections.
“The voter who simply doesn’t know that much about the Democrat and Republican, doesn’t have strong feelings and therefore wants to go with a libertarian.” – University of Georgia political science professor Charles Bullock
That’s single dumbest take I’ve ever seen from a political scientist on why voters choose a 3rd party candidate. It’s completely backward. People vote 3rd party because they DO have strong feelings about the Rs and Ds and that’s usually because they do know something about them.
I agree with you, Jim. And best wishes to the Libertarian candidates in Georgia in the election.
Once again George adds nothing to the conversation. He’s a hack.
I have studied the candidates but my main focus is on the Senate and supporting Herschel Walker.
