Instead of removing potential Presidential candidates from the ballot, Arizona ought to adopt proportional ranked choice voting for Presidential electors. Given that Arizona has become a swing state, it would be the best way to split up the electoral votes, AND minimize any adverse impact of third party candidates of any political ideology on the outcome.

Buried beneath all the technical legalese in their brief is a disdain for the idea of having more than two parties on the ballot. The “Democratic” Party’s idea of democracy is a forced two party system, and any party more than that is “ballot crowding” by “cranks” and “unserious” candidates. Arizona’s likely only going to have three or four Presidential candidates (D, R, Libertarian, and possibly the Green Party) without any potential No Labels candidate, and by international standards that’s a rather small ballot.
Also, Australia is decidedly not communist, and they use Ranked Choice, in case anyone else inexplicably wants to believe otherwise. Ranked Choice/Proportional Representation, alongside fair ballot access laws, enables voter choice and thus free and fair democratic elections.
