Indiana Files Brief In Green Party Ballot Access Case

On June 19, attorneys for Indiana state government filed this brief in Indiana Green Party v Sullivan, s.d., 1:22cv-518. This is the case that challenges the number of signatures needed for independent candidates, and the nominees of unqualified parties, for statewide office. No statewide petition has succeeded in Indiana in over twenty years.

Indiana Files Brief In Green Party Ballot Access Case — 28 Comments

  1. Wait, I keep hearing this every time a left-wing third party is fighting for ballot access. What is your opinion on right-wing third parties fighting to be on the ballot? Would you really be against them because they’re “spoilers”?

  2. Of course. The fight between right and left today is the ultimate battle between good and evil in the final chapters of the Bible. Everything is at stake, winning is the only thing that matters, and the right is righteous and holy while the left is sinister and satanic. Ballot access is only good or bad depending on which side it helps.

  3. COURTS GRINDING AWAY —

    1. HUNTER BIDEN PLEA DEAL

    2. TRUMP TRIAL IN AUG 2023

NONPARTISAN ELECTION OF TOP EXECS AND ALL JUDGES

    — NOT BEEN BROUGHT UP BY BOTH LEFT/RIGHT TOP GANGSTERS

  4. Hunter Biden is guilty, and Trump is innocent. Simple enough. Joe Biden is also guilty. Maybe he can skate on mental incompetence.

Nonpartisan elections are bad for reasons A”Trump = Hitler, except hasn’t been in jail”Z keeps ignoring. Not brought up by leftist gangsters YET, but probably soon enough.

  5. Of course he won’t last another 5 years in office. Harris is even more unpopular. If they had someone to take his place they would already have done it. Trump will win easily and hugely. They won’t be able to cheat their way out this time.

  6. Really? That is very horrible. If anything, I would rather vote Green than vote Democrat. I will even go one step further. I would rather vote for the Constitution Party candidate or a Libertarian over a Republican. I do not view them as spoilers. If anything, they along with other third party and independent candidates are why I even have a vested interest in politics and have any hope for the future at all.

It’s arguments like the spoiler effect are why I never will vote for a Democrat or Republican as long as I live. I want to vote for someone with principles rather than say “other guy bad” because we all know that both parties are bad. I want real policy solutions that will actually make life better rather than just either make excuses, ignore the problems, or censor others for no reason.

  7. Greens are worse than Demonrats, or at best the same. Republicans are the only realistic chance to beat them. The stakes are literally everything. The left is satanic, and the hour is late.

Trump Republicans have principles. The right ones too. Trump had real policy solutions and made life better, despite being plagued by disloyal aides and deep state and fake news and demon rats constantly persecuting him and wasting his time and energy , and despite that he got a lot accomplished. Then the Chinese struck back with biowarfare, crashing the wonderful Trump economy, and stealing the election together with American traitors, race hustlers, tech deep state conspirators, and fake news.

But the 4 year exile has not been wasted. Trump learned a lot, and will do much better next term. He has a solid plan. It will save America.

  8. You are the troll hyping attacks on Christian European civilization, AZ. Putin and Trump are defending it. The west is practicing surrender, especially when you don’t count Trump and euroskeptic, nationalist parties. Together with Putin and Lukashenko, the only hope of Christian, European civilization to survive.

Biden, pro EU establishment, and the NeverTrumper former leadership of GOP are meanwhile busy facilitating the agenda of undermining the pillars of civilization: population replacement, secularism, third world conflicts, importing “refugees,” cultural Marxism, “environmentalist” depopulation agenda to kill off 90% of humanity and enslave the survivors, deliberate dumbing down, “harmonization” with Xi/CCP Red Chinese, taking their bribes, exporting jobs and economic influence to them, gender bender agenda to depopulate and weaken manliness of defenses, critical race bs to make Whites hate themselves, we can go on and on. It amounts to a surrender or suicide agenda by the west.

  9. It’s actually from the daily beast aka daily 666. Yahoo commies are just the transmission vectors for the daily 666 virus.

  10. The meltdown is obviously at the DOJ. Communism and fascism are two good ways to describe what’s going on here.

  11. Hoping that the Green Party can overturn the atrocious ballot access laws here.

I think that there are currently only two Greens running in 2023, one being for the mayor of Portage, another in an at-large city council race in Hobart. Both are northwestern Indiana, but still, hoping that the word can get out and the party can grow. Better ballot access would be useful in that respect.

  12. Interesting spin from the far left Daily 666 via fake news aggregator Yahoo Fake News. More accurate interpretation: pathetic western sanctions backfire. I do enjoy reading about my life through the spin of the fake news spin doctors.

  13. If I wasn’t too busy living the life they write about, I’d write something like that about Americans or Brits evading Russian sanctions, perhaps. I’m considering hiring some young people to make a western fake news parody site. Babylon Bee is pretty good, but they’re trying to convince me there’s a need for additional such outlets.

  14. I find it so sad that people think that silencing third parties by violating their First and fourteenth amendment rights is the way to go to “preserve our values and make change” even if they did all the qualifications to do so. Silencing parties closest to a major party’s platform is more of an indication that the major party is not serious about the values that they are trying to preserve. This is one reason why it’s hard to tell who’s more corrupt between the Democrats and Republicans.

  15. Clearly, the demon rats. And the only thing it indicates is that they understand the reality of spoiled elections and what’s actually at stake.

  16. What about the people that would otherwise stay home if there was no other option besides the two? People forget that there are lots of people who do not want to vote for either the Democrats or Republicans. There’s really nothing at stake if a race is just Democrat vs. Republican because people know that nothing is going to change no matter who is in office. Third parties don’t exist as spoilers, they are a check on the major parties to ensure that the major parties are what they are supposed to be representing.

  17. EQUAL BALLOT ACCESS IN RUSSIA ???

OR JUST GET KILLED/MURDERED FOR TRYING TO OPPOSE TYRANT PUTIN AND HIS GANGSTERS ABOUT ANYTHING ???

HOW MANY *MYSTERIOUS* DEATHS OF PUTIN OPPONENTS ???

    — NERVE/RADIOACTIVE POISONS, FALLS FROM TALL BUILDINGS, DROWNINGS IN BATH TUBS, ETC.

ZERO CHANGE FROM STALIN AND HIS SECRET POLICE KILLERS/MURDERERS IN 1929-1953

    — EXCEPT NEW WAYS TO KILL/MURDER ???

  18. crAZy:

Ballot access in Russia is equal, but difficult. For example, there were 8 presidential candidates in the ballot the most recent time, 2018. Putin received 77%, and the candidate I voted for yet again, Zhirinovsky, got 6% for third place. We will have an election next year, and I plan to vote for the first time in my life for Putin, as I finished my association with LDPR when they picked Slutsky as the new party leader. As you might correctly guess, 23% of the voters were not killed.

The most recent parliamentary election was in 2021, and the ruling United Russia party got barely over 50%. Both United Russia, which I have come to support as of last year, and my former party LDPR lost seats in that election. LDPR got about 8% of votes. Eight parties hold seats, plus 5 independents. This is certainly more varied representation than in the USA.

The question about “mysterious” deaths is far too unspecific. People who run afoul of popular national leaders may well run afoul of any number of other people. It’s questionable which deaths are “mysterious” and who all would count as a Putin opponent – someone who merely publicly stated they oppose the President? Someone who attended matches against him, for example as I did in 2011? Someone who spoke there? The question is too ill defined all around, and subject to much laughable foreign propaganda.

In any case, nowhere near comparable to the millions Stalin murdered, many merely for opposing him, and a large number of wrongly accused. If you have any evidence of anything on that scale happening in Russia in the 21st century, present it. Otherwise, you continue to be a hysterical ignoramus throwing around ridiculous comparisons, such as your infamous insistence that Trump was a tyrant on parallel with Hitler.

    JAMES:

I disagree with your contention that nothing is at stake between Democrats and Republicans in the US. Many important things are at stake, for example the lives of millions of innocent unborn babies, world war, etc. Third parties in America can be spoilers or they can be an important check. I would have probably been a third party voter in America after Reagan and before Trump, in alternate elections for Libertarians, Constitution Party, Reform Party, or independent candidates.

  19. Ron,

When it comes to electing actors as President, the US has done much better than Ukraine has.
