Libertarian National Committee Wins Trademark Lawsuit Against Tidewater Libertarian Party of Virginia

On June 29, U.S. District Court Judge Roderick Young issued a four-page order in Libertarian National Committee v Robert Klor Dean. This is the trademark lawsuit filed by the Libertarian National Committee to stop the Virginia Tidwater Libertarian Party from using that name. The national and state committees do not recognize the Tidewater Libertarian Party. The Defendant did not contest the order. See it here.

  2. Not necessarily. The facts are different in Michigan. Also in the Virginia case, the Defendant had no attorney and gave in.
