Pennsylvania’s Democratic Party Governor Endorses Kendra Brooks of the Working Families Party in Philadelphia City Council Race

On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro endorsed Kendra Brooks of the Working Families Party for a second term on the Philadelphia City Council. Gov. Shapiro did this even though the Chair of the Democratic Party of Philadelphia threatened party members with expulsion if they endorse candidates who are not Democrats.

Here is a story on this matter.

Pennsylvania’s Democratic Party Governor Endorses Kendra Brooks of the Working Families Party in Philadelphia City Council Race — 28 Comments

  1. The Nonworking Broken Families Party should give him a big wet kiss. As for the DP rift, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving party, and it’s especially nice to see one in a swing state and at the top of the rat hierarchy.

  2. Expulsion from a political party is freedom of association. Purge implies actual violence, mass murder, mass imprisonment, widespread rape and looting etc on a scale dwarfing even the chaos at the Mexican border and in Demon Rat run failing cities and states. If purge means expulsion from a political party, AZ ravings about purges don’t amount to a gnat passing gas on top of a hill of beans in a tornado.

  3. AZ demonstrates its extreme prejudice, bigotry and racism by seriously entertaining there would be zero White Republicans in all of Philadelphia, PA. Granted they are a minority of a minority, but of course they exist. Why AZ would ask that question is even more of a mystery, albeit not a particularly interesting one.

  4. PARTY VIOLENCE / PURGE =

    SEE HITLER PURGE JUNE-JULY 1934

    HUNDREDS KILLED ??? >>> WW II IN 1939-1945 — ??? 80 MILLION KILLED

    COMING UP –

  5. If you read the article, it is clear that Gov. Shapiro is supporting the WFP council member for one of the two seats that the Democratic Party is not contesting, under city rules. The Democrats are limited to five of the seven at large seats on the council, and there are five Democrats running. For the two seats reserved for members of other parties, there are only two candidates put up by the Working Families Party.

The State Chair of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party understands this and defends Governor Shapiro’s right to support any candidate he wants to support.

In most states, parties do not have the power to expel someone from membership. In California, a member of a party central committee – county or state – can be expelled for supporting a candidate of another party, but there is no process to expel someone from a party. I have only seen examples of expulsion from parties in New York State, in 1950, and in either 1998 or 2002. But New York is different.

  6. He’s not telling the truth. People have been expelled from parties, including his California libertarians. Those included at times Matthew Barnes, Bruce Cohen, and others. Nicholas Sarwark was among those expelled recently from NH Libertarians. Marxist parties kick out members all the time. And so on.

  7. AZ is conflating expulsion from a party with political violence, and then with war and terror perpetrated by governments. These are very different things.

Expulsion from a party is merely an association protecting itself from people it doesn’t want to associate with for whatever reason. Just like refusing membership in the first place, it’s a vital part of free association rights. Any party or association of any kind which can’t freely refuse to accept or can’t freely expel members is a meaningless name, not an association.

People who try to force other groups of people to associate with them practice initiation of force; governments which force association do as well. Associations which expel or refuse members are not initiating force, they are exercising the free association rights, which includes dissociation.

Political violence by political factions out of power, or by political factions in power or others acting clandestinely on their behalf without legal authority, are not the same as member expulsion. Political violence has taken place all over the world all through history and continues to this day. In the vast majority of cases it’s on the scale of criminal activity not associated with politics, ranging from minor altercation to organised gangs, systemic corruption, and ongoing enterprises. In very few cases does it rival the scale of wars or domestic tyranny.

Wars and domestic tyranny also range widely in scale. At the very worst end, during the mid 20th century the left wing dictators of Russia, Italy, China, and Germany were each responsible for tens of millions of deaths at home and abroad, including the invasion and occupation of multiple countries.

AZ tries to conflate all these things into one under “purges,” incorrectly identifying the aggressor in cases of expulsion from associations and conflating it with one of the world’s worst, but not the very worst dictatorship dictatorship (Stalin and Mao were worse, and Pol Pot was much worse in a population ratio basis).

Hitler’s purge in 1934 involved actual violence, not mere party expulsions. Even purges which involved violence by dictatorial regimes, which happened all through history, very rarely led to anything like the world wars.

It’s ridiculous to compare the prospect of individuals being expelled from political parties in a multiparty system with a dictator jailing and killing multiple members of the only legal party in his country. It’s furthermore ridiculous to claim the many thousands of cases of the latter were all no different than what Hitler went on to do years later. Comparing the first and third is so far beyond ridiculous it takes a “special” kind of psychopathic lunatic to continuously make that kind of absurd statement. Enter the absolute zero, aborted zombie AZ.

    SADDAM PURGES

    TOO MANY DEAD TO COUNT.

TOO MANY BRAIN DEAD TROLL MORONS ON BAN.

    P-A-T

  9. Brain dead troll moron AZ is conflating left wing dictators killing people in large numbers with associations exercising freedom of association to expel members. Only brain dead aborted zombies with absolute zero IQ would compare the two.

  10. The whale hater pretending to be a whale above is a whale killer in whale clothing. Wind farms kill whales. A true whale would never support killer wind farms.

  11. I AM A WHALE THAT BACKS WIND FARMS, SORT OF LIKE A GAY THAT VOTES REPUBLICAN.

  12. Republicans are not murdering gays left and right. That’s a ridiculous analogy. Gays can have plenty of reasons to vote Republican or any other party because they are individuals who are each a lot of other things besides homosexual. Would you say a heterosexual can’t vote Democrat? That would be more like saying gays can’t vote GOP.

  13. Let’s see. Republicans don’t think gays should get preferential treatment. Wind Farms actually kill whales in nontrivial numbers among many other creatures, sea and otherwise. So naturally it’s the same thing for a gay to vote Republican, right? No. For a whale to support wind farms would be like for a Jew to support Hitler.

  14. No. It’s even worse than Jews supporting Hitler. There were actually Jews who did, because it helped push Jews out of Europe and created enough critical mass for Jews to get independence for Israel from the UK. No such silver lining when it comes to wind farms for whales. Just an unmitigated holocaust, no independent whale nation state, nothing but horrible pain and death.

Look up lehi Zionists Hitler or stern gang Hitler. So…whales for wind mills…even worse than Jews for Hitler. And lower than whale poop.

  15. So, yeah, I agree you’re worse than Stern Gang Jews for Hitler and lower than whale poop, and of course not really a whale. Shame on you, you whale hating Edward Brown poop turd.

  16. Curious why the Bloomsburg University student newspaper in Central PA is reporting on the endorsement by a governor from Montco on a Philadelphia city council race.

The governor is trying to exploit the electoral system used in Philadelphia. A voter may vote for 5 candidates, with 7 elected. There are 5 D, 2 R, and 2 WF candidates. Most D voters will vote for 5 D candidates.

If the governor peels off some votes for a WF candidate it will come randomly from the D candidates. Some R voters will vote for the 4 non-D candidates.

It would be more honorable if the governor specified the one Democrat he would vote for if he were living in Philadelphia.

  17. I’m sure they probably have students from Philly? Student WTF party supporters?

  18. No whales support satanic wind farms. Eddie Brown is a whale hating Nazi who supports the wind farm holocaust and is pretending to be a whale. Shame on you, whale hating Nazi turd Eddie Brown stain.

  19. I hope a whale eats Eddie Brown and poops him out. Then he will be whale poop, in addition to being lower than whale poop for despicably being a whale who supports the wind farm whale holocaust.
