On December 20, the Michigan Secretary of State told the State Supreme Court that if it is going to hear the Trump ballot access case, there must be a decision by Friday, December 29. LaBrant v Benson, 166470. The Michigan presidential primaries are on February 27, earlier than almost any other state. See the Secretary of State’s filing here. The State Supreme Court hasn’t even agreed to hear the case yet; the appeal to that court was only made on December 18.
Is the Michiganer Supreme Court partisan, and if so, what is its partisan breakdown? If not, what’s the breakdown of which party governors appointed each member?

Michigan voters do elect members of the State Supreme Court, and they are nominated in party conventions. But the state omits party labels for that office.
I figured out their parties easily enough. It looks like clear sailing in states like Michigan and Wisconsin which have bare femocrat court majority, regardless of actual ballot label or none. It doesn’t make a huge difference whether content is labelled or not when you can see it through the jar.
