    Also, I agree Kennedy is a good fit for libertarians but may not want their label , but they should be on their knees begging him.

    Members of the Michigan Republican State Committee voted Saturday to remove the state party chair, Kristina Karamo, saying it is time to “stop the bleeding,” and a change at the top is needed to improve GOP performance in the Nov. 5 election.
    Mark Forton, chairman of the Macomb County Republican Party, said he has long been a supporter of Karamo and still admires her, but he ultimately concluded she has to be removed because of the people around her. “We have an election in 2024 and up until now the state party hasn’t addressed any part of it,” Forton said.
    But the special meeting of the state party’s governing committee had already been declared null and void by Karamo and her supporters. Karamo, who took office 11 months ago, said the meeting at a hall in western Oakland County was not convened in accordance with the party’s bylaws. She did not attend Saturday’s session and pointed to an authorized special state committee meeting, set for Jan. 13.
    State committee members, not including proxies, voted 40-5 to remove Karamo, several attendees leaving the meeting told the Free Press. They also voted to remove Dan Hartman, the general counsel who attended the meeting to speak on Karamo’s behalf, and Jim Copas, the party chief of staff. Malinda Pego, the state party co-chair from Muskegon County, will serve as acting chair until a new chair is selected, officials said.

  25. No way. Rectenwald and Josh Smith are way better, other than being nobodies like the rest of their declared candidates. Oliver would be a better fit for the Green Party, but he wouldn’t beat Jill Stein there.

    Libertarians would be better off concentrating on local races, supporting Trump, and continuing to perfect edgy social media and building a brand.

    On the local level, they should concentrate on rural, very conservative areas where DemonRats are nowhere near competitive.

    They should primarily focus on Sheriff races to start, running candidates with a law enforcement background and strong support teams, and network with like minded groups such as the Oath Keepers, Proud Boys, Minutemen, Sons of Confederate Veterans, John Birch Society, Council of Conservative Citizens, Campaign for Liberty, Young Americans for Liberty, Tea Parties, Trump groups, Moms for Liberty, Second Amendment groups other than the NRA, etc.

  26. Manosphere/1950s households/patriarchy enthusiasts, Alex Jones fans, and pro-Russia groups are also a good place for libertarians to network. We need to truly unite the right.

  27. Either Trump or Kennedy would move things in a libertarian direction, imperfectly. Libertarian perfectionism is the main reason why they have so little policy success.

  34. I recently watched a Libertarian presidential candidate debate that was moderated by Larry Sharpe. Five candidates participated, and they all seemed professional enough to me. There were some disagreements over specifics, and one major dissent over immigration policy that really wasn’t debated, but there was a lot of agreement as well.

    RFK Jr. has some libertarian positions, but he would have stuck out if he was at that debate. If he’s going to be on the ballot as an independent, the Libertarians really should nominate someone more strongly libertarian as a contrast.

  39. Libertarians can’t nominate Trump and still have a ballot line in most states, because most states don’t allow fusion. Several states will not auto-qualify them for future elections if they do not run a presidential candidate.
