Tulsi Gabbard to be Keynote Speaker at the Libertarian Party of Iowa Convention on February 17 — 16 Comments

  1. I can access the website fine. It’s a local news site of Davenport, Iowa.

The LPIA chair was quoted as saying “Congresswoman Gabbard shares our stances on critical issues such as opposing unconstitutional foreign wars, advocating for accountability in the Federal Reserve, and opposing civil-asset forfeiture.” It looks like someone in the party wrote the article.

  2. I’m hearing good things for the LP coming out of Iowa. Major Party Status, a first at the state fair, the caucuses. I joined the LPIA for Life a couple months ago https://lpia.org/membership/ and I feel very good about it. As far as Tulsi Gabbard goes, she’s got guts. I would love to hear her speak.

  3. Lulz k. She agrees on a few issues. Almost any politician does, depending which issues. As for the l.p. It’s circling the drain and beyond recovery. Y’all have good luck with that.

  4. She’d be hotter blowing hoby Buchanan and leaving politics to the menfolk.

  5. Love Tulsi. The dream ticket for the Libertarian Party is Kennedy/Tulsi 2024.
They would win the Presidential election. But as always the Libertarian Party self destructs when it has a good opening to break out.

  6. Dream ticket of which party? Would win what? What color is the ocean on your home planet ??

  7. George- Really? Gabbard perhaps but RFK, Jr? His environmental agenda is far more Green Party than LP.

  8. Moose**** caucus shows its true nature. Not true hardcore libertarian, actually just a wingnut authoritarian cult. Bye bye lp. Oh well.

Meanwhile, George Whitfield is what happens when you cross libertarian in name only with North Korean Juche style unconditional praise of party orthodoxy central committee line, including immediately following any drastic changes.

Kind of like when the Hitler-Stalin pact blew up with Operation Barbarossa, commies who were against Hitler during the time the pact was operational were derided for “premature antifascism” … Whitfield might some day soon accuse libertarians of “premature anti concentration camps for anthropogenic climate change deniers,” “premature anti gun control” etc etc.

  9. Casual observer should observe less casually.

Dig into Gabbard’s other stances a bit more, much like Kennedy it’s a mishmosh with only a few points of overlap that incel con/lubertarian fanbois combine with wishful thinking and masturbatory fantasies into imagined libertarian worldview and political power.

In the real world, just another scam for shearing hopeless libertarian sheep. If success for libertarian ideas ever happens, it won’t have anything to do with the ridiculous scam party of that name and its constant churn of fools, suckers, scams, scammers, pop in and out opportunist and wannabe cult leader con artists, cosplay politics, armchair generals, overgrown children, circular firing squads over angels on head of pin, etc, etc, et tedious cetera.

  10. Sadly, third party and independent politics in general is increasingly that way and will get even more so at an ever faster rate now.

The much better news is that the real libertarians are busy leading the dark enlightenment charge at the heart of the pan narionalist, localist, neotraditionalist cultural movement sweeping the world and headed for inevitable victory, represented in the US by the Trump movement, crypto, tradwifes, and many other much more promising avenues to success than LOLP.
