Missouri Senate Passes Bill to Make It Harder to Pass State Constitutional Amendments

The Republican Party War on Democracy continues.

Here is the story from Missouri Independent.

If the Missouri House passes the bill, it will still need a majority vote from The Show Me State’s voters in November 2024 to amend the Missouri Constitution.

The story also states that the Missouri House has passed a bill making it harder to circulate citizen initiative petitions in Missouri. Petition circulators would have to be US citizens, Missouri residents for at least 30 days prior to the start of the petitioning period, and circulator pay per signature would be banned.
