Michigan Republicans were beset with widespread confusion Friday over where the state GOP would hold a convention Saturday to pick delegates to nominate the party’s presidential candidate at a national convention this summer.
Competing factions within the Michigan GOP were circulating plans for as many as four different caucuses across the state.

Though that announcement was good news for Michigan Republican Chair Pete Hoekstra, the party remained fractured Friday as the chairs of both the 1st congressional district and the 4th congressional district made arrangements to meet separately from Hoekstra’s convention in Grand Rapids, but also away from Detroit, to accommodate delegates who were refused Grand Rapids credentials after county chairs missed deadlines.

It appears that No Labels has run out of first-tier candidates. Next Friday their delegates meet in a virtual convention, but no one knows who the delegates are or how they were selected. Maybe no one will know their prez/vp candidates either and definitely no one will know how they were chosen.
