One of the things that has set the Libertarian Party apart from other third parties has been its consistent ability to achieve maximum ballot status. This has given it a certain status that is greater than most of the candidates it has run. I don’t think any other third party has a reputation that greatly exceeds most of the candidates that it has run. Most third parties’ success has hinged on the reputation of the candidates that they run, and their ballot access success usually depends on that. The Libertarian Party is a party just waiting for the right leaders to be worthy of it.
