It’s gotta be more than half the posts here in the last week about Jersey! Jersey Pride!
The reason for my attention to New Jersey is that I see a route to solve the New Jersey minor parties’ biggest problem, the terrible ballot format in 19 of the 21 counties in the general election. The Republicans have a column, headed by “Republican” in big print. Same with Democrats. Everyone else is crammed into a column headed by “Nomination by Petition.” Probably most voters don’t even look at that messy column. It is so tough these days to get any election law improvements for minor parties and independents, the New Jersey situation is big news for this month.
