  1. From Eric Garris:

Irv was a wonderful friend and a fighter for principle. I knew him since 1971. The world has lost a great man.

  2. Anyone that runs that many times as a minor party candidate deserves applause.

  3. The highest PFP nominee for statewide office was Elizabeth Barron for Controller. She got 4.6% in 1978.

  4. It should be noted that Irv Sutley served two years, 1970 to 1972, as the 5th State Chair of the Peace and Freedom Party. The first four, Mike Schon, Hugh Manes, Jack Weinberg, and John Haag, were all elected in 1968 with Haag serving until 1970 when Sutley was elected.

  5. Nathalie Hrizi received 5.4% for Insurance Commissioner in the 2014 voter-nominated primary. But if you want the candidate who received the most Peace and Freedom Party votes in a general election it was in 1992 when Genevieve Torres received 372,817 votes. At least a dozen candidates received over 200,000 votes
