Good objective article. I see no problem with letting Kennedy debate. It would give listeners of the debate a break (if you can tolerate Kennedys raspy voice) from the other two mealy-mouthed candidates.
I mean, it’s not like Biden and Trump have pleasant voices themselves.

If Trump hadn’t dragged his feet when Kennedy invited/challenged him to debate at the LNC, then it wouldn’t have been too soon. And if Trump cared at all about having a debate, instead of only caring about publicity stunts, then it still isn’t too soon.
It will happen in a more proper venue with adequate promotion.
If Trump wants to save face, it SHOULD happen at the LNC. Where it DOES happen is irrelevant. There is no more venue more proper. The amount of promotion is also irrelevant, because it’s not about the publicity but about the debate. By the time it happens, if it even happens at all, anything later than the LNC will be too little too late. But Trump is weak and scared because he knows Kennedy has him by the short and curlies over his Covid-19 fascism.
It’s all 100% about the publicity. The point is to have Kennedy split off Biden’s soft support, get the election out of cheating range, elect Trump, and save America. It will all come to pass! It is written!

A debate between Kennedy and Trump is 0% about publicity and 100% about the debate itself. That remains true even if the debate would take place in a shipping container with nobody present besides Kennedy, Trump, a moderator and a camera crew, and the footage would only be released after the election.
