Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Files Ballot Access Lawsuit in New York

On May 29, the Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. campaign filed a federal lawsuit against various aspects of the New York independent presidential petition law.  Team Kennedy v Berger, s.d., 1:24cv-03897.  The case is assigned to U.S. District Court Judge Andrew L. Carter, Jr., an Obama appointee.

Even though Kennedy submitted three times the number of signatures over the legal requirement, both Democratic and Republican Party New York officials have announced that they intend to challenge the petition.

Here is the Complaint.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Files Ballot Access Lawsuit in New York — 32 Comments

  1. They intend to challenge the petition …as soon as they can figure some grounds on which to do so.

  2. Dr. Jill Stein is also filing a lawsuit in New York. All the best to her and to RFK Jr. in their New York lawsuits

  3. More likely Jill Stein will seek to intervene in the Kennedy case.

  4. Delighted to read he excluded the fold-over signatures from his submission and works the situation into his complaint.

  5. RETROCEDE NEW YORK TO THE DUTCH! FREE AMERICA FROM NEW YORK’S TYRRANY!

  6. They will find the grounds, like Bragg , merchan and other partisan operatives.

  7. FIRST LINE —

ZILLION STORIES LATER. SENTENCE DATE 11 JULY 2024

    WILL HE INCITE INSURRECTION ???

ANY EFFECT ON HIS STOOGE DELEGATES AT GOP NATL CONV

  8. The tyrants are the ones who brought this bogus politically motivated case in a kangaroo court and held a Stalinist political show trial..

  9. “…to protect voters from a confused and clutter ballot…”
Now the ballots are the ones that are confused!

The lawsuit offers New York a way to keep the 45,000 signature requirement.

  10. Ballots are very confused, and confusing. Stand up and be counted.

  11. OLDE BIGGEST [BEDSHEET] THIN PAPER BALLOTS SIZE ???

ESP IN COUNTIES ELECTING 20-40 PLUS JUDGES IN SAME ELECTION

AND USA / STATE / LOCAL OFFICERS

  12. Standing counts work fine. Voter eligibility requirements need to be tightened up considerably. In the original, more comprehensive set of proposals I made with Stanley draws from, the voting elite in a given precinct/government would be well known to each other, so there would be no eligibility questions.

  13. Richard,

Why do you think Dr.Jill Stein will intervene in the Kennedy Lawsuit. I do not see it is helpful for Bobby Kennedy, Jr. to let Dr.Stein intervene in his lawsuit. What is your view about the intervention in light of NRS 41.193 & NRS 41.195 statement?

  14. I though we switched out Jones for Oliver on the Retard Ticket?

  15. Hard to say. I would go with Stock. Santos is a major retard in his own right.

  16. Kennedy might not have a chance at winning , but he’s testing ballot access laws in each state.

  17. The RFKjr lawsuit claims that it cost $1.1 million for the petition, and $2.9 million to defend it against challenges.

Challengers can apparently subpoena all circulators, and if they don’t show up strike all signatures they collected. The Kennedy campaign would be faced with the expense of transporting and housing them and perhaps making up for lost income.
