This story says Florida Democratic Party officials are asking the Secretary of State to produce documents related to the ballot status of the Reform Party.  This year, the Reform Party has nominated Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., for president.

  1. I think this time we’ll succeed. We’ve gotten better at removing parties from the ballot since 2004. Removing parties from the ballot is one of the many ways we demonstrate our deep and abiding love of democracy each and every day.

We need to remove all parties except the Democratic Party from the ballot in order to save democracy. I believe that under President Harris we will be able to at long last accomplish this long standing goal.

  2. Unless Republicans feel that Kennedy, Stein, West and Oliver would hurt Trump’s chances, they’ll never help Democrats remove them from the ballot, especially Cord Byrd who’s shown the same penchant as Gov. DeSantis to put his thumb on election controversies when it was politically expedient. God pray we don’t get such ruthlessly effective politicians in higher office.

  3. Asking the SOS is just the first step. When that fails, the courts are next. We’ll save democracy one way or another. Sometimes you have to burn down the village in order to save it.

  4. Theresa Amato wrote quite a bit about that 2004 Florida fight in her book Grand Illusion, of anyone is interested.

  5. Almost makes me tempted to stay registered in Florida and vote for Kennedy, but there are far more reasons to move my registration to Georgia again and vote for Trump.

  6. Forget about everyone else. Vote for whom you think is right.
Personally I am voting for Kennedy in Fl.

I don’t think people are smart so I expect Trump to win Florida and I am OK with that too, not going to lie. Whatever G°d wants is good for me. But Kennedy would be better and that will be my vote.

  7. That’s why I’m voting for Trump. Owning property, including homes, on both sides of the state line makes it easy to register and vote in Florida or Georgia as I see fit. I think Georgia is more likely to be close, so I’ll probably vote there.

I think Trump is much better than Harris, will be better in his second term than he was in his first, and will get better and better during the course of that second term. I’m not a huge Kennedy fan, he’s way too left wing on way too many issues and wouldn’t win anyway. I don’t appreciate the Democrats trying to take him off the ballot though, those of you who want to vote for him should be allowed that right.

  8. 5 of the 7 Florida Supreme Court Justices were appointed by DeSantis. I’m going to bet that the Democrats won’t be successful in this endeavor.
