Washington Post Story Says Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Now Asks that Voters in All States Not Vote for Him — 64 Comments

  1. How very typical of WaPo’s urinalistic (lack of) standards not to provide a source, or even any indication of where Kennedy supposedly said this. Until something more solid is presented, I’m inclined to dismiss this as just more fake news propaganda from the Democrat MSM.

On the other hand, Kennedy certainly has been withdrawing/attempting to withdraw from the ballot in several states which don’t come to mind as obviously swing/battleground states.

In any event, Kennedy doing this would compound his stupidity in endorsing Trump, thus further ruining any shred of credibility he might have held onto in some people’s minds, and thereby precluding any staying-power as a cabinet member – or any other appointment, for that matter.

  2. It must be for you, if you manage to hallucinate things into articles which aren’t there…

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. abandons plan to seek votes in uncompetitive states

The independent candidate now wants all his supporters to vote for Donald Trump, as he seeks to take his name off red-state ballots and add it to blue-state ballots

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential candidate who recently endorsed Donald Trump, called on his supporters Thursday to vote for the Republican nominee no matter where they live, reversing instructions he gave two weeks ago when he encouraged voters to still vote for Kennedy if they lived in uncompetitive states.”

…Please point out on the doll where WaPo touched your E-mail 😏

And when you’ve finally finished reading and re-reading that in a futile attempt to locate your hallucination, please provide proof of the E-mail you claim exists (e.g. a screenshot uploaded to Imgur).

  3. Here is his actual email that i received from bobby

A lot of people are asking me, if they live in a red state or a blue state, should they still vote for me? What about swing states?

The answer is easy. No matter what state you live in, I urge you to vote for Donald Trump. The reason is that is the only way we can get me and everything I stand for into Washington DC and fulfill the mission that motivated my campaign.

A lot is at stake. The health of our children, the integrity of our government agencies, even the survival of our species as the Democrats push us closer and closer to World War Three. But let me tell you one more reason why it is imperative we get Donald Trump into the White House.

Right now, free speech is under withering and relentless attack in America and across the globe, but we still have enough of it that you can at least read this email or follow me on X. We can still run an opposition political campaign.

Well in a lot of countries you can’t do that, because the state controls the media. The state censors the internet. Brazil just banned Twitter because Elon Musk refused to censor user speech. Kamala Harris says Musk better behave himself or he will “lose his privileges.”

She thinks — and the Democratic establishment thinks — free speech is a privilege. Well I think it is a right. And if Kamala Harris is elected, the powers behind her will quash that right. They are already halfway there. It will be too late by 2028. Once we are in the grips of totalitarianism, we won’t be able to vote our way out of it. This is our last chance to stop them.

After long conversations with President Trump and his team, I know that he is fully convinced of this priority. He sees the censorship machine for what it is. Remember, he was kicked off Twitter back in 2021. And he has experienced directly how government agencies are being weaponized to destroy political opponents. He is going to be relying on me to help clean up that corruption, and that’s why I’m relying on my supporters to help him return to the White House.

As you know, this could be a very close election. A disputed election result would be a disaster for our divided nation. President Trump needs to win in a landslide both in the Electoral College and the popular vote. He can’t do it unless my supporters join him and look at the big picture. We have to unify if we are to overthrow the entrenched elites who are ruining our country.

Here’s what that means for you:

In every state, if you support me and my vision of a government united around common goals, I encourage you to vote for President Trump.
This isn’t about splitting votes or sending mixed signals. It’s about creating a united front that will carry us through these turbulent times and restore integrity to our government.

I am fully committed to this path. Any confusion or division at this stage could undermine the very progress we’ve fought for. And this means I need your financial support now more than ever.

Thank you for standing strong with me for the future of America.

    Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

    Sincerely,

    Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

  4. It is literally the lede of the second paragraph

“‘No matter what state you live in, I urge you to vote for Donald Trump,” he wrote in a fundraising email.”

  6. Friends,

Sorry I kept pestering you for money in recent weeks. I truly trusted in a certain person. If I have anything to say about it, your recent donations will be refunded. Please give the particulars to me at Cheryl@Kennedy2024.com.

  7. Cheryl,

Are you actually claiming to be Cheryl Hines Kennedy?

If yes, will your publicist verify this claim if contacted directly?

Did you also make a post on a prior article here alluding to you having an onlyfans account? I’m not asking for a link. It would be sufficient to know whether you said that you do.

Did you make a post on a prior article here saying the fate of your marriage might depend on how well campaign fundraising performs?

  8. Cross posted from Sept 4

    Richard Winger,

Someone purporting to be Cheryl Hines Kennedy claims that you are personally offering a 2:1 match for all donations to the RFK JR campaign today.

    1) is that true or a lie that you are offering such a match?

    2) how can you do that, if it’s true? I’m not tempted to donate, but aren’t there individual contribution limits?

    3) Those limits wouldn’t apply to Nicole Shanahan, since she’s on the ticket. Why would or could it be anyone other than her offering a donor match?

  9. It looks to me like the most likely explanation is that whoever is impersonating Cheryl Hines and trying to make her sound like a clueless bimbo is now trying to get her email spammed, but I’m still open to proof that I’m wrong.

  10. I’m not on Kennedy’s list, but I read the email above, and Kennedy is 100% correct in everything he says there. Our freedom and our very survival depends on Trump winning!

  11. Trump must win. Trump can win. Trump should win. Trump will win. Trump shall win!

  12. It would be fun to pick a state or even a city within a state where Kennedy winds up on the ballot and organize a totally independent get out the vote effort. Just make some cheap Xerox campaign fliers and go around door to door. I’d love to see him get like twenty percent of the vote in some hippie town in a really partisan state. Most people won’t vote for him. But a few might if you ask nicely.

  13. Thankfully, brain worm boy finally realized what he should have all along. Hopefully, he will now ask every state to take him off the ballot, and hopefully the courts will force the ones who refuse to comply to do so anyway. He now needs to do what the rest of us need to do: spend every waking moment for the next two months campaigning for TRUMP!!!!!!!!

  14. We need to band together and make sure Trump is elected again. He will solve all of our problems!

  15. Regardless of what happens in November I think it will be good for the GOP to start looking towards a future without the guy they have running for President now. He’s served one term and he really hasn’t done much to strengthen their support in Congress. He did appoint some conservative judges. But I think most of what he did was through executive orders which can be, or have been, rolled back by the current President. Although I don’t think he wanted them to happen some major atrocities have happened since he was elected in 2016. There seems to be bad luck around him. And he’s a really uncomfortable figure. He doesn’t present the idea of positive vision, leadership, and imagination. He appeals to nostalgia and a little xenophobia. I want someone who wants to bring the guide forward to an optimistic future.

  16. Do you know what that is worth?
Trump will make Heaven a place on earth!

  17. If the 22nd amendment is not repealed or Trump is not crowned emperor, JD Vance is the future of the GOP after Trump! But Trump will be God Emperor so it won’t come to that!

  18. @bobby g
Thank you for providing the content of the E-mail. Did you get it from subscribing to the newsletter via his campaign website?

    @Thomas
I don’t know what article (you think) you read, but I literally included the WaPo article in its entirety when I asked you to point out where it mentioned an E-mail.

That article does not even have more than one single paragraph: the whole unsourced thing consists of a title, a single-sentence subtitle/lede in boldface, a not directly relevant photo with single-sentence caption, and one single-sentence paragraph which does not mention any E-mail. And guess what, none of them is that sentence you (claim to) quote.

So you are either referring to some other article but are too illiterate to read the WaPo article Mr Winger linked and I copy-pasted, or you are completely hallucinating because you are too illiterate to read the WaPo article Mr Winger linked and I copy-pasted…

    @Nunya fan
No, because if that were true, I would never use any paragraph breaks, since obviously everything I say is important – which you, as my fan, must surely know already.

  19. I don’t know how some one as great as Nunya managed to miss the remaining paragraphs. I’ll see if it lets me copy paste the whole thing.

“No matter what state you live in, I urge you to vote for Donald Trump,” he wrote in a fundraising email. “The reason is that is the only way we can get me and everything I stand for into Washington D.C. and fulfill the mission that motivated my campaign.”

The new message comes as he has expanded the list of Republican-leaning states where he seeks to remove his name from the ballot, even as he continues to fight to add his name to ballots in blue states where Democratic nominee Kamala Harris is expected to win.

Kennedy previously said he would only remove his name from about 10 battleground states where his presence could make him a spoiler that benefits Harris and hurts Trump. “If you live in a blue state, you can vote for me without harming or helping President Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris. In red states, the same will apply,” he said on Aug. 23.

  21. I’m clicking on the link above. It has multiple paragraphs. I’m not Thomas or your fan. I’m not hallucinating, either.

  22. nuna

Yes i I was receiving emails from RFK Jr for months after signing up on his website. That is the reason I got that email yesterday

  23. I just clicked on the link in the post above and it has many paragraphs. That’s not a comment on anything that anyone else said above.

  24. Nun A is always hallucinating. She must smear her broomsticks with ergot before she uses them to masturbate, like her Catholic nun forebears during the inquisition.

  25. You know nuns are weird when they see brooms and get wet.

That’s how we got the story of witches flying on broomsticks.

  26. The link has now been changed to an archive.is page, but up until just now was directly to https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/09/05/rfk-jr-ballots-election-trump/ which, as you can see for yourself, still does not contains more than a single paragraph, much less make any mention of an E-mail.

The article, in its entirety, reads:

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. abandons plan to seek votes in uncompetitive states

The independent candidate now wants all his supporters to vote for Donald Trump, as he seeks to take his name off red-state ballots and add it to blue-state ballots

I am disappointed that anyone proclaiming to be my fan, would have learnt so little from me as to be fooled by an obvious URL substitution.

  27. @Bobby g Thanks again.

I never received that E-mail (it’s also not in my spam filter). So I wonder if it was only sent out to people who had already subscribed before his August 23rd presser… But that would be a bizarre decision.

His campaign website now says the newsletters has been discontinued: https://www.kennedy24.com/common-sense-newsletter

But despite the whole “Make America Healthy Again”-facelift his landing page has gotten (including – hilariously – “MAHA” merchandise), nowhere does the site contain any public statement reflecting the content of that E-mail.

  28. I’m afraid you have me flummoxed. That link has the entire article, as well, with many paragraphs. Perhaps you are getting kicked out to an abridged version because you don’t give them money, unlike my workplace, which subscribes to a variety of newspapers because we must use their nonpolitical articles for various references?

Checking it on my phone, however, the direct link kicks me out to something that doesn’t even show the first paragraph, just a headline and a subscription link, after briefly flashing a version with several paragraphs.

  29. It wouldn’t take anyone above a second grade reading level six minutes to read that paragraph. That alone should clue you into there being more paragraphs.

  30. @Nunya fan
“That link has the entire article, as well, with many paragraphs”
Well, then I am flummoxed too. Normally a pay-gates include some sort of advertisement along the lines of “subscribe to read on”. There is none. And it also seems strange that you would get a different (even shorter) abridgement on your phone. I have no clue what WaPo is playing at then.

    @Helpful Guy
Indeed. Which is why I said, and I quote: “How very typical of WaPo’s urinalistic (lack of) standards not to provide a source, or even any indication of where Kennedy supposedly said this.”

  31. They provided it. There’s something malfunctioning with their subscription inducing machinations on whatever set up you’re using. I’ve checked a couple of devices and browsers, but none are showing the one paragraph version – they either show multiple paragraphs or none.

  32. @Dungfly
Your crow has been putrifying for the past two weeks, while you were in denial about the fact that Kennedy hadn’t dropped out of the presidential race (yet). Either Kennedy dropped out on August 23rd or he dropped out now – or neither, I guess – but not both. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Are you finally admitting that you have been lying for the past fortnight?
