On September 13, a Michigan state circuit court rejected an attempt by a Democratic activist to keep all names off the ballot for Allegan County Board, district 3. Only one candidate had filed for that office, a Republican incumbent, and he had died shortly before the August 2024 primary. The Republican Party then chose a new nominee, but a Democratic activist who had run for the same seat two years ago then sued to block the substitution. If she had succeeded, no name would have been on the November ballot for that office. The Democratic activist has filed to be a write-in candidate for that office this year. See this story.

Setback for voting bots.probably minor and temporary.
That’s the 3rd Commissioner position, I assume? That was one of the competitive races in 2022. The Republican got 5,760 votes and the Democrat got 5,061 votes. I say close, but that’s a margin of 53.07% to 46.63%. It was the closest race in 2022 for that county. There were Out of 12 positions in Allegan county, only the Saugatuck Park Commissioner is a Democrat.
ANOTHER REASON FOR CANDIDATE / INCUMBENT REPLACEMENT LISTS
Every occasion is a good occasion to eat pets.
Let’s cut down all the trees to send one page forms through the mail and have them lost in the mail. Campaigns only hire petitioners because they are retards. And because of multiple signature lines on petitions. Voters actually totally return petition blanks from mail and newspapers , fill them out correctly and on time, and send them back in with enough signatures to fill the ballot – campaigns just enjoy wasting money, annoying the public, and dealing with slick quasi criminal con artists.
Even though voters actually return those blanks on their own at sufficient rates on my planet, making petitioners not needed, they know they can’t send a form in until all the lines are filled out. Yeah. Totally.
@AZ,
If an advocate for replacement lists lives in Michigan, they should contact their legislator to propose such a change.
Did you know Henry Rowe Schoolcraft?
Replacement lists may be the dumbest AZ bot machine brain fart ever.
